Laurie Zimmerman - Children & Youth

Laurie Zimmerman heads up our Children & Youth Ministry at Lynnhaven Baptist. She has faithfully served since 2008 and seen many children & teens come to know Jesus and deepen their spiritual walk with Him.

She encourages her kids as Paul did Timothy in 2 Timothy 4: 6-7 “Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”

She loves working with students of all ages and has a passion and enthusiasm for sharing the gospel, knowing if they turn their lives over to Jesus at an early age, they will have fewer regrets, a much more fulfilled and meaningful life, and an eternity with Jesus.

Karen Sallac, Ministry Assistant

Karen has been on staff as our church secretary since 1992. In addition to secretarial work, she has been very active in our VBS program,
and a part of several mission trips and local missions over the years.

“Way back in 1992 I felt God calling me into the ministry and I had no clue what that looked like, but I’m so thankful He led me to Lynnhaven. I’ve been able to use my gifts and talents working with other staff members and members of the congregation.”

In her spare time, Karen enjoys doing crafts, going to concerts and reading.
